The first one allows you view the evolution of the rain clouds in the last hours so you can predict what is coming. Here is an example:
The second allows you to see, for a given place, the rain forecasts for the next two hours. If it is like this (sorry, those are old screen-shots, the look of the site changed this week), you either want to cross the street just right now, or order one more beer and wait 40 minutes:
With something like this, do not wait too much before going out, or you will get soaked:

We could use those apps for Portland, Oregon. In Den Haag until Monday and weather has been good. Raw herring has been even better.
